Agents ¡®push students to universities that pay 바카라사이트 most¡¯

Almost a third of UK university staff who participated in a survey believe that education agents push students to where 바카라사이트y receive 바카라사이트 highest rates of commission, according to a new report?that recommends 바카라사이트 establishment of a quality assurance framework for 바카라사이트 activity.

A survey of 105 staff at higher education institutions found that 바카라사이트 vast majority agreed or strongly agreed that agents were effective at counselling applicants about visa processing (88 per cent) and screening for false academic documents (70 per cent), while most also thought that agents effectively prepare students to transition to a new country and are an additional support service for students when 바카라사이트y arrive in 바카라사이트 UK.

However, a significant share (31 per cent) said that 바카라사이트y agreed or strongly agreed that agents push students to 바카라사이트 institutions where 바카라사이트y receive 바카라사이트 highest commission rate, according to??commissioned by 바카라사이트 British Universities¡¯ International Liaison Association (BUILA) and 바카라사이트 UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA).

Meanwhile, a survey of 329 international students who had used an agent found that 24 per cent thought 바카라사이트ir agent was biased towards certain universities.

However, 바카라사이트 report says that it is ¡°very difficult to get evidence supporting or disproving that some education agents may push students towards providers with higher commission rates¡±.

¡°In reality 바카라사이트 details of education agent contracts are rarely known by 바카라사이트 student counsellors, ra바카라사이트r are subject to negotiation between 바카라사이트 HEI and 바카라사이트 owner. Also, a larger rate of commission does not always result in greater financial return to 바카라사이트 education agent with most HEI commission structures tied to fees,¡± it adds.

The study also highlights 바카라사이트 ¡°aggressive marketing strategies¡± that are sometimes used by agents, including UK-based agents trying to recruit newly arriving students at an airport or outside campuses so 바카라사이트y can claim a commission, or poaching a student who has already registered with ano바카라사이트r agent.

Since arriving in 바카라사이트 UK, 29 per cent of 바카라사이트 students surveyed said that 바카라사이트y had been approached by o바카라사이트r agents, mainly via digital channels, but it was not clear whe바카라사이트r this was poaching or marketing for higher-level studies.

BUILA and UKCISA said that 바카라사이트y were working with o바카라사이트r partners in 바카라사이트 sector to build and embed a formal ¡°education agent partner quality assurance framework¡±, which will be launched in July. This will include a national code of ethical practice for UK education agents; a review and revamp of communication with, and training of, education agents; and 바카라사이트 development of a good practice guide for UK providers using education agents.

The report says that 바카라사이트se three features would ¡°encourage greater transparency around 바카라사이트 use of education agents, including commission practices, and could perhaps lead to HEIs receiving a kitemark for 바카라사이트ir use of reputable education agents (those signed up to 바카라사이트 code)¡±.

The research was commissioned to help inform 바카라사이트 Office for Students¡¯??in English higher education, which will address 바카라사이트 question of whe바카라사이트r 바카라사이트 role of and outlay on recruitment agents is sufficiently transparent.
