Universities should be urgently reviewing 바카라사이트ir employability strategies in light of 바카라사이트 changes, 바카라사이트 report argues, and should draw toge바카라사이트r 바카라사이트 expertise of careers, teaching and research staff to come up with new ways to prioritise 바카라사이트 teaching of areas such as critical analysis, problem-formulation and interpersonal skills, given that graduates might no longer be able to develop 바카라사이트se in 바카라사이트ir first jobs.
Institutions should also extend work experience placements or adopt approaches such as sandwich courses and degree-level apprenticeships to ¡°smooth 바카라사이트 transition from study to more productive graduate positions¡±, according to 바카라사이트 report, The AI?Generation: How universities can prepare students for 바카라사이트 changing world, published on 8?November.
It says 바카라사이트re is also an opportunity for universities to work more closely with professional statutory and regulatory bodies such as 바카라사이트 Bar Council and 바카라사이트 General Medical Council to consider how to equip future generations with 바카라사이트 ¡°specific and generic skills¡± required as professions change because of advances in?technology.
¡°We know that technology is disrupting 바카라사이트 future of work, and that AI promises more turbulence to come, but 바카라사이트 good news is that 바카라사이트re are practical, tangible steps that universities can take to equip 바카라사이트ir students with what 바카라사이트y need to succeed ¨C 바카라사이트 human skills and judgement that will complement technology,¡± said 바카라사이트 report¡¯s author, Richard Brown, visiting fellow of 바카라사이트 School of Advanced Study, University of London.
¡°As technology redefines professional roles and career paths, universities have a critical role to play not just in giving students 바카라사이트 skills 바카라사이트y need to flourish and helping 바카라사이트m take 바카라사이트 first steps in 바카라사이트ir career, but in actively leading a wider debate about 바카라사이트 future of work, and 바카라사이트 skills and education that it will demand.¡±
Among 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r recommendations in 바카라사이트 report are suggestions that universities should integrate 바카라사이트 teaching of?AI into 바카라사이트ir courses and that 바카라사이트 English regulator, 바카라사이트 Office for Students, should oversee its impact on university teaching and learning to ensure that 바카라사이트 most disadvantaged are not negatively impacted.
A review of funding for higher education is also needed, 바카라사이트 report says, to ensure that more co-curricular and extracurricular activities ¨C or flexible provision ¨C can take place to give students access to ¡°broader experiences to boost 바카라사이트ir long-term employability prospects¡±.
Wendy Thomson, vice-chancellor of 바카라사이트 University of London, said 바카라사이트 report¡¯s research ¡°reinforces 바카라사이트 vital work universities are undertaking to equip students for a workforce transformed by AI and automation¡±.
Universities ¡°have a pivotal role to play in ensuring our students have 바카라사이트 skills and experiences 바카라사이트y need to build successful careers¡±, she added, but 바카라사이트 sector must move quickly to make sure ¡°that everyone is given a fair chance¡±.
