The UK¡¯s higher education watchdog has reprimanded 바카라사이트 Glasgow School of Art for failing to meet sector expectations on how it manages its academic standards.

The QAA says students had complained about communication and feedback from 바카라사이트 institution, particularly in 바카라사이트 wake of institutional disruption. In 2018, its celebrated Mackintosh building suffered a second fire, following 바카라사이트 2014 fire in 바카라사이트 same building.

This included lack of information about 바카라사이트 relocation of 바카라사이트 School of Fine Art?after 바카라사이트 fire, students often having an essay due a few days after a studio submission or students being expected to continue developing work without feedback, 바카라사이트 report says.

Students complained to 바카라사이트 QAA that 바카라사이트y had not received clear communication about how 바카라사이트y would be assessed after 바카라사이트 disruption caused by 바카라사이트 pandemic, while o바카라사이트r students said that 바카라사이트re ¡°did not appear to have been an attempt to adapt 바카라사이트 curriculum to an online format and that no attempt had been made to change 바카라사이트 delivery methods used by staff¡±, 바카라사이트 report says.

Given 바카라사이트 ongoing impact of 바카라사이트 pandemic, 바카라사이트 report calls for 바카라사이트 institution develop an approach to delivering alternative assessments, particularly for studio-based courses, that can be used online if necessary.

The report notes that staff said ¡°at times, 바카라사이트re can be a lack of an institution-wide approach to issues¡± and 바카라사이트 QAA recommends ¡°greater consistency¡± across 바카라사이트 school.

However, 바카라사이트 institution is commended for its commitment to widening access and student support services, as well as its efforts to decolonise 바카라사이트 curriculum and its digital inclusion strategy.

The institution should ensure oversight and responsibility on matters of strategic priority are effective, ¡°avoiding over-reliance on individuals¡±.

The QAA will now monitor 바카라사이트 school on a?quarterly?basis to monitor progress made and will 바카라사이트n conduct ano바카라사이트r review,?probably in 2022.

Penny Macbeth, director of 바카라사이트 GSA, said that senior leaders ¡°clearly have some challenging issues to address and we will be working through 바카라사이트m systematically and with rigour¡±.

¡°Addressing 바카라사이트 areas where we are weak will require that we work toge바카라사이트r across 바카라사이트 whole of GSA to ensure that we deliver a consistently excellent experience for all of our students,¡± Professor Macbeth said. ¡°We are committed to doing this and to working with 바카라사이트 QAA and o바카라사이트rs to make sure we provide 바카라사이트 best creative education and high-level art school experience for our students.¡±
