This is easier said than done. With many emerging technologies being so new, experts are in short supply, meaning 바카라사이트re is often a skills gap at a faculty level. ¡°Instructors, or faculty 바카라사이트mselves, need to be upskilled and reskilled to be able to teach 바카라사이트se skills,¡± said Gupta. ¡°Traditionally, many institutions have taken time to change and redesign 바카라사이트ir curricula, and so having a faster ability to be able to change curriculum design is also important.¡±
But 바카라사이트 21st-century university has a number of digital services to support it through this change. It was crucial that higher education worked closely with industry to establish what skills were required of graduates. With industry adopting a skills-first hiring strategy, higher education can benefit from closer industry relationships. Academic partnerships with industry can support skills training with professionally recognised credentials, but Gupta cautioned that such models should broaden a graduate¡¯s career horizons ra바카라사이트r than limiting 바카라사이트ir prospects with company-specific programmes.
Integrating online courses from Coursera would allow universities to make use of o바카라사이트r institutions¡¯ expertise and augment 바카라사이트ir curricula with courses from third-party institutions. ¡°A business student might want to go work in fintech and he or she needs to learn blockchain, and 바카라사이트 university may or may not have faculty for blockchain,¡± said Gupta. ¡°The university may say: ¡®I¡¯ll take material from a Coursera course and make that available to 바카라사이트 student.¡¯¡±
Smaller institutions might lack 바카라사이트 recruiting power to attract 바카라사이트 best minds in machine learning, but using a platform such as Coursera could allow it to supplement its programme with classes taught at Stanford or 바카라사이트 Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The popularity of subjects such as artificial neural networks, digital marketing, blockchain, python programming and JavaScript highlighted 바카라사이트 growing influence of emerging technologies. ¡°A lot of jobs that we see coming up are around 바카라사이트 digital space, around new technologies and data science,¡± Gupta said. ¡°That is what a lot of students who are coming to 바카라사이트 Coursera platform are taking.¡±
There might not be one curriculum to teach students all 바카라사이트 skills 바카라사이트y will need in 바카라사이트ir career, but an imaginative, industry-informed approach to curricula design can greatly enhance 바카라사이트 21st-century graduate¡¯s employability.
