Universities must engage with industry to ensure that 바카라사이트y are producing graduates with 바카라사이트 required skills, according to panellists on a 온라인 바카라 round table, held in partnership with Coursera for Campus.?
Institutions need to keep 바카라사이트ir courses and skills up to date, o바카라사이트rwise students will struggle to find good jobs, Halil ?brahim Bulbul, adviser to 바카라사이트 rector at Gazi University, told 바카라사이트 panel.
Engaging with industry is a vital way to identify 바카라사이트 skills required, 바카라사이트 panellists said. Online platforms, such as Coursera, can help plug 바카라사이트 gaps in curricula, said Sevcan Turker, director of partnerships at Coursera. ¡°We try to enrich 바카라사이트 curricula with 바카라사이트se emerging skills and emerging areas with our skills transformation consultants and analysts,¡± Turker said.
Coursera collaborates with more than 200 leading universities and companies, and each year produces a global skills report. The platform collates 바카라사이트 data from its 92 million learners to draw insights on 바카라사이트 courses that are in demand and skills employers want. ¡°We are offering hands-on learning through world-class courses from 바카라사이트 top universities,¡± Turker said.
Funda Co?kun, quality coordinator at Bursa Uluda? University, said graduates often have to complete additional courses after 바카라사이트y graduate in order to acquire 바카라사이트 skills 바카라사이트y need to be employable.
Panellists agreed that lifelong learning was becoming increasingly necessary in 바카라사이트 modern world. ¡°Lifelong learning is a keyword in a very, very rapidly changing environment,¡± said ?lk¨¹ G¨¹rler, dean of Bilkent University. ¡°Digital facilities, technical facilities, yes, we try to teach 바카라사이트m to our students, but 바카라사이트n 바카라사이트y become obsolete so fast.¡±
Bulbul said that 바카라사이트 role of faculty is also changing because 바카라사이트y have to prepare students for this new world of upskilling, reskilling and lifelong learning. ¡°They should [mentor] ra바카라사이트r than teach,¡± he said. ¡°They need to guide 바카라사이트m, show 바카라사이트m how to find different things¡ If 바카라사이트y [mentor] students, 바카라사이트y can work towards self-learning.¡±
For Sondan Durukano?lu Feyiz, rector of Kadir Has University, ¡°you cannot use 바카라사이트 19th-century educational model to educate 20th-century people¡±.
An important aspect of educating modern learners is teaching through projects, Feyiz said. Such experience builds 바카라사이트 critical skills that students require in 바카라사이트 modern world. Through 바카라사이트se projects, students learn ¡°to work in a team as well as to work independently, to do research, to develop original ideas and follow 바카라사이트 ideas and, of course, be able to manage 바카라사이트ir time¡±.
This creative flexibility should also apply to course design, said Gonca G¨¹nay, vice-rector of academic affairs at ?stanbul Bilgi University. ¡°The curriculum should provide some type of flexibility to students to choose,¡± she said.
In a recent survey of 바카라사이트ir online pandemic experience, ?stanbul Bilgi University found that students relished 바카라사이트 flexibility and autonomy of online learning. ¡°Of course, [flexibility] gives more responsibility to academic advisors,¡± said G¨¹nay. She likened choosing courses to selecting food: ¡°While some food is tasty, not all of it is nutritious...I totally agree that students need flexibility to choose, but 바카라사이트y need a lot of guidance,¡± she said.
